November 2011

Sunday, November 20, 2011 - Today I added two books with 35 Czechoslovak folktales. Since the Czech Republic and Slovakia are now separate countries, I made two pages - Czech folktales and Slovak folktales.

Thursday, November 10, 2011 - Today I'm uploading what I've done over the last two days. I removed one of the banner ads, placed a nifty tag cloud and enlarged the book covers. To save space, some of the features are hidden and will pop out when you press the corresponding button. Use the same button to close it.

Tuesday, November 8, 2011 - I've spent a lot of time working on the code of the website recently, removing a lot of services that made loading of pages slow and changed my hosting provider. There is still some work to be done regarding images and a little change in the design. It should take me another day or two. The next big step torwards lowering page load times is cutting down advertisement.

Friday, November 4, 2011 - Today I added two new books. The first is: Cossack Fairy Tales and Folk Tales - Ukrainian folktales. The second book is contains 34 folktales from the Azores (Portugal) - The Islands of Magic Legends, Folk and Fairy Tales from the Azores. There are now two separate pages for Spanish folktales and Portuguese folktales.

Tuesday, October 25, 2011 - Today I added a new page - Swedish folktales. The book itself is titled "The Swedish Fairy Book".

Saturday, October 22, 2011 - Today I added two books with 31 Irish folktales. The first is titled Myths and Folk Tales of Ireland. The sceond book one is Fairies and Folk of Ireland.

Friday, October 21, 2011 - "English fairy tales" by Flora Annie Steel added

Thursday, October 20, 2011 - Today I added the second book with English folktales, edited by Joseph Jacobs - More English fairy tales.

Wednesday, October 19, 2011 - Today I added two new books under Arabic folktales - Folk-Lore and Legends: Oriental with 13 folktales and The Oriental Story Book with seven folktales

Tuesday, October 18, 2011 - A new book: Green willow and other Japanese fairy tales added.

Saturday, October 15, 2011 - The new book today is titled "Tales of the Sun or Folklore of Southern India".

Wednesday, October 12, 2011 - The Chinese Fairy Book contains 74 Chinese folktales, sorted into several categories

Monday, October 10, 2011 - Today I added the third book with African folktales: Folk Stories from Southern Nigeria

Sunday, October 9, 2011 - I finally found some African folktales. It was a real surprise to find not one, but three books yesterday. Today I added two South African books with 28 folktales alltogether. The books are titled: "Old Hendrik's Tales" and "Outa Karel's Stories".

Saturday, October 8, 2011 - Two new books: Folk-Lore and Legends: Scandinavian and Hindu Tales from the Sanskrit.

Friday, October 7, 2011 - Today's addition is a little book with seven Polish folktales.

Thirsday, October 6, 2011 - New book: Folk-Lore and Legends: Germany. The second book today, "Old Indian legends" features 14 Native American Indian folktales.

Wednesday, October 5, 2011 - New book: Folk-Lore and Legends: Scotland.

Tuesday, October 4, 2011 - Toady I added two new books - "Roumanian fairy tales" under Romanian folktales and Folk Tales from the Russian.

Monday, October 3, 2011 - A new section - Norwegian folktales is now open. The book itself is titled "East of the sun and west of the moon".

Sunday, October 2, 2011 - Today I added a new book called "Stories from Pentamerone" under Italian folktales

Saturday, October 1st, 2011 - A few days ago I realised I forgot to link the stories of a book - Russian Garland. The stories there are now accessible. Together with the new book - Old Peter's Russian tales, there are two new books with Russian folktales.
