15 December 2009 - Elsie Spicer Eells Fairy tales from Brazil added under South American folktales

March 2010

30 March 2010 - Added a Google Translate feature on all pages. I presume that the quality of the translation will vary according to the different languages and the texts it is applied on, but is's still better than nothing and it will get better all the time.

28 March 2010 - Two new themes are now available - Dark and No Images. The latter removes almost all images and is suitable for slower internet connections.

25 March 2010 - You can now choose a theme, changing the background, images and colors of the website. You will find the buttons just below the header. For now there are two themes - Classic (the one you see now) and White. They still need some finishing touches, but everything should be readable.

12 March 2010 - Elsie Spicer Eells Tales of Giants from Brazil added under South American folktales

April 2010

7 April 2010 - Added 11 Chinese folktales

6 April 2010 - In addition to the themes, you can now change font sizes. Just press the according buttons to increase/decrease text size. It should work on almost all pages.

May 2010

19 May 2010 - "Grimm's fairy stories" featuring 25 of Grimm's fairy tales added.

9 May 2010 - 31 Australian folktales added.

June 2010

23 June 2010 - A Brothers Grimm biography added.

18 June 2010 - The Useful links page is redesigned.

12 June 2010 - a French translation of Grimm's fairy tales added. Again - all fairy tales are on one page.

7 June 2010 - The first non-english book - a Dutch translation of Grimm's fairy tales added. I did not have time to make individual pages for every fairy tale, so I put them all together.

July 2010

6 July 2010 - Added the Brothers Grimm fairy tales in audio format.

August 2010

3 August 2010 - Added a fourth book with Grimm's fairy tales.

5 August 2010 - Added a bookstore. The store is powered by amazon.com . If you wish to show your support for worldoftales.com you can buy something from there or from amazon through this link.

24 August 2010 - Added Cinderella in Polish

September 2010

9 September 2010 - 15 new Chinese folktales added.

7 September 2010 - Seven new Japanese folktales added.

3 September 2010 - Added a new folktale to Japanese folktales.

October 2010

20 October 2010 - Since the Brothers Grimm fairy tales page was too big I decided to make a new Brothers Grimm page and move some of the information there.

18 October 2010 - Added Arabian nights. This edtiton is edited by Andrew Lang. Not all stories are persent, but the ones included were shortened and simplified, making them more appropriate for children. When I have the time I will add another edition - one by Sir Richard Francis Burton. It seems by far the closest to the original.
The Asian folktales page bacame too crowded, so I created three new pages - Arab folktales, Chinese folktales and Japanese folktales.

November 2010

Monday, November 29, 2010 - Added 71 North American folktales - 26 Native American folktales and 45 US folktales. With Christmas time comming our way, I placed the Christmas stories on the homepage.

22 November 2010 - Added 14 Slavic folktales under European folktales

15 November 2010 - Today I added some new features to world of tales. You can now sign in and leave comments. Since I lack the knowledge to do this myself, I used the Google Friend Connect feature. You can also use your favourite social networks to share the website with the new buttons. As with all new things all may not work properly at first, but there shouldn't be any major problems.

December 2010

Monday, December 27, 2010 - Added 29 Indian folktales.

Monday, December 20, 2010 - Added 43 English folktales under both Celtic folktales and Germanic folktales. A new animated fairy tale - The Goosegirl, is also available.

Monday, December 13, 2010 - Added 21 Romanic folktales and a second animated fairy tale.

Monday, December 6, 2010 - Added 26 Celtic folktales. Today I added the first animated fairy tale. I hope you find it interesting to watch.
